Japanese Peace Pagoda
This glistening white structure was built under the guidance of Japanese monk Nichidatsu Fuji. This place is a must visit during daily pujas.
The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute
It was established on November 4, 1954 to encourage mountaineering as a sport in India. Apart from being one of the best mountaineering institutes it is also a major tourist attraction.
Singalila National Park
The Singalila National Park is one of the highest national parks in West Bengal. It is home to the very rare red panda and Himalayan black bear. This park is also a part of trekking route.
Observatory Hill
Like any other hill station Darjeeling too has a mall road and on top of the mall road is the observatory hill. The famous Mahakal temple and Bhutia Butsty Monastery is located on this hill.

October to March is the best time to visit Darjeeling. It is advisable to not visit Darjeeling during the monsoon season as the city is prolonged to landslide.
