The ministry of culture is now offering considerable discount on tickets In order to promote night-time tourism at Qutub Minar and also help visitors avoid queues at the entry ticket counter. However, discounted tickets are available only for online booking or by scanning the QR code through their mobile phones.

The” asi.payyoumoney.com.” web site is available for booking.Tthe ministry will also offer discounted tickets for other monuments located in Delhi, as per new received. The discounted price for a ticket to enter Qutub Minar for Indian visitors will be INR 35 instead of INR 40, whereas it will cost INR 600 for foreigners which is less by INR 50 compared to the previous.

Furthermore, the ministry has illuminated the Qutub Minar from 7 PM to 11 PM with architectural LED lights which costs INR 16615. This initiative has been taken to encourage night tourism, and has cost approximately four crore rupees to the government.
In order to boost up tourism across monuments of Delhi such as the Red Fort, Humayun’s Tomb and Safdarjung Tomb,the timing have been increased up to 9 PM. Qutub Minar is one of the oldest surviving monuments in Delhi dating back to the year 1192. It was built by Qutb ud Din Aibak, the founder of Delhi Sultante.

The minar’s uppermost storey was destroyed by lightning in 1369, and was re-built by Firuz Shah Tughlaq, who extended one more storey to the existing minaret. Over the years, the Qutub Minar has suffered damages due to the natural calamities such as earthquake.
